Webcasting
defined by Webcastia
Webcastia was formed in March of 2007, with the concept of providing the music industry
with a full turnkey webcasting solution for pay-per-view live concert
entertainment to worldwide audiences. Because we were planning to webcast copyrighted
content, the company developed it's own DRM Digital Rights Management system, using
the Microsoft DRM technology. The company also developed a fully portable broadcasting
system, including 4 professional cameras with operators, A/V control with video switching
and audio/video syncing. Fans could now enjoy their favorite bands from home, anywhere
in the world, with high resolution web viewing.
The company's website was developed for easy ticket processing, concert viewing, and
customer service. Our web, SQL and DRM servers, along with handshaking with our
credit card processor, provide our clients and their viewers with a extremely
powerful interface, that is easy to use.
Since the startup of Webcastia, we have found that many other industries have the
need for pay-per-view, DRM live webcasting with professional
on-site camera crews. Such industries include, special events (such as weddings),
corporate meetings and seminars and online training.
Our current business model is to provide protected pay-per-view live webcasting
to anyone that has the need for such a service. We are capable of providing each
component of our system to clients individually, or as a complete turnkey solution.
We can handle up to 2000 concurrent viewers from our own data center, and contract
to content delivery networks (CDN) for unlimited viewer capacilty to our larger
clients. We are also able to provide our services to clients that already use their
own CDN.
Webcastia is dedicated to providing the best webcasting services to business
professionals and other webcasting service providers.
